Welcome! My name is Cara and I live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my wonderful husband Riley. I created Art of You in 2015 because I believe that every woman deserves to see herself as a beautiful work of art. After 10 years of working in the beauty industry as a makeup artist, I realized that I needed to do something more for women. The truth is that most women focus too much on changing what they don't like about themselves instead of celebrating their unique beauty and authenticity. Makeup can be an amazing tool to build self-confidence, but self-love goes beyond the makeup. I work with women on both the inner and outer aspects of beauty. In other words, I can teach you how to use makeup to express your individuality and still love who you see in the mirror when you take it off.
When we work together you will...
Discover a beauty routine that makes you feel fabulous and love your look.
Embrace your authenticity & increase your self-confidence and self-love.
Enjoy the experience of a lifetime as we create art that showcases your beauty.
Recieve unique art of you that you will cherish for years to come.
Hi, I’m Colleen! I live in Rock Hill, South Carolina with my husband Dave of 22 years and our two children. I grew up with my older sister and two younger brothers on a farm in a small town in Pennsylvania called Spruce Creek. As a young country girl, shoes were optional after school and clothing purchases were made solely on the basis of what was comfortable for riding horses and climbing barn rafters and stacks of hay. So you can imagine the life-changing whirlwind I went through, when I gave birth to the biggest shoe-loving, accessory-obsessed, dress-up-just-to-go-to-McDonalds little girl I’ve ever known. Suddenly my eyes were opened to all things girly. I was just starting my photography business when Marisa was born in 2007 and quickly found that photographing women in any setting, whether it be their wedding day or a casual session, was the most enjoyable part of my business. I love working with people and I especially love the boost of self-confidence our portrait experience provides. Everyone is beautiful, sometimes we just need to be reminded!
